It is the worst company. They didn't hear you. They charge you after canceling and do not refund the money. For example, they charge me $302.02 for my 1 bedroom apt, on my bge charge for $129. And when I asked them for a refund some representatives told me, they are not a charity, they a company who make a business.
Some jackass came up to my fiancee and was very agressive about your stupid service. She said no, and he insisted she take the paper after she was already stressed out and scared her. If i see these people come to our house again I'm calling the police.
TOTAL RIP OFF. Promised in writing our electric bill would never be more than with our utility (RI Energy). After a few years, we discovered Arcadia had "accidentally" overcharged us about $1000. The said "oops", we'll make an adjustment. The adjustment got us about a $5 per month credit. It would take about 200 months to get even. Refused to return our money. After about 50 hours on phone with Arcadia, the utility, and the Secretary of State, we cut our losses and dropped them. We will use the credit when we buy an electric car. DON'T SIGN UP.
This company is supposed to save you money. So then why when they overcharged me $10,000 over 4 months did they not fix it??? They refused to refund me despite their computer mistake. They said I would go through the overcharges and use that electricity up eventually. Who wants to prepay $10,000 on anything in life? Poor policy. Poor customer service. Avoid this company like the plague before they overcharge you. Ohh and they would have kept over charging me if I didn't speak up. Auto pay isn't all it's cracked up to be when you can't trust the company on auto pay.

I live in NJ and had a representative (her name was Alvita) show up at my door with her pitch on Wednesday 10/11/23. We weren’t really interested but basically she would not go away. We felt very pressured to sign up and while we do want to help the planet, I do not like people coming to my door. We signed up to make her leave because it was clear she wasn’t leaving until we did and we figured once she was gone we could just cancel our enrollment.
We sign up and she leaves. Great. Then on Friday 10/13/2023 I receive 4 back to back text messages from her to my cell phone that I don’t see right away (I see them maybe 2 hours after they were sent) because I’m dealing with an EXTREMELY sick toddler. The messages state we couldn’t be approved because our bill was over a certain amount (we had just received the bill and obviously hadn’t paid it at that point) and asking if we could make a payment on it. Now honestly, we didn’t care if we were approved or not because we never wanted to enroll in the first place. So because of that and the fact that my daughter is sick, I don’t answer at that moment. Alvita then proceeds to SHOW UP AT MY HOME after 8:30 pm banging on my door. My partner answers the door and she starts asking to speak with me and asking if I could pay the balance. He tells her I’m busy with our daughter and will pass on the message.
Who shows up at somebody’s house that late at night because their text messages weren’t answered?! That is extremely unprofessional. Way too pushy for my liking.
COMPLETE SCAM!! DO NOT show them any utility bill. The sales man come to your door and ask you if you know the going rate for your gas and electric. They ask to see your bill so they can show you the rates on the back but they steal your account information and illegally switch your provider. You do not have to sign anything or give verbal confirmation of the switch. You showing them your bill is good enough for them. They target the elderly a lot. Contact BBB immediately!
I signed up and then read the reviews and cancelled within an hour. Also within that hour of signing up I was already locked out my BGE account which was taken over by a Arcadia email address, never thought such a thing would happen.
